my CRISPY FRIED CHICKEN plus COLESLAW SALAD :)

Home-Fried Chicken..

Who can resist the crispiness and the juiciness that comes with every "kurot" and "papak?" :)

Lemme share my simple recipe plus its perfect partner as "side kick", este side dish pala - Coleslaw Salad :)

You can also enjoy this with warm rice :)
                                          *********************************

For the Fried Chicken:

Put the chicken parts of your choice in a cooking pot

Add salt to taste

and garlic for flavoring.. i like my chicken garlicky :)

cover the pot

Let it simmer

until the chicken is tender

turn off the heat when excess water evaporates

in another cooking pot, pour about 3-4cups cooking oil

once the oil is hot deep fry over medium heat

start to fry the chicken

we will use here DOUBLE-FRY METHOD so to achieve the crispiness and juiciness of our chicken.. so first we will semi-fry the chicken for few minutes

then let it rest for 2 minutes

after the chicken has slightly cooled down, cook it in the same cooking pot again for few more minutes

until we reached the desired golden brown color appearance and crispiness of our chicken

continue cooking the remaining chicken
then turn off the heat

put in a serving platter. set aside.

For our Coleslaw Salad:

here's our main ingredients

cut the carrots lengthwise (you can grate it if you want)

shred the cabbage

put the shredded cabbage in a container

add the carrots

then pour-in the mayonnaise

mix well

you can add few tbsp of ketchup

and grated cheese

mix well

add ground pepper to taste

chill in the fridge before serving

you can dash Parmesan cheese if you like :)

This is my chicken - crispy outside

but juicy inside :)
